At the end of last year, K&M completed the supply of fencing for the Belle Isle Correctional Facility in St Vincent. This complex project demonstrates K&M’s ability to provide product design and shipping solutions tailor-made to the customer’s requirements.

The design of bespoke hurricane resistant fence posts was commissioned by K&M and by careful calculation. Our shipping department was able to load full width anti-climb fencing panels (2.52×5.20m) into 40’ open top containers. The full width panels reduced the number of fence posts required by 15% which
represented a considerable saving for the contractor both in the cost of materials and installation.

To ensure the mesh panels were unloaded undamaged in St Vincent, K&M provided a specially designed lifting beam together with detailed unloading instructions. Special steel frames were built inside the containers to provide support and stability to the panels during shipment.
